Production Update: We are officially in the pre-production phase of our upcoming full-length album, “Ship That’s Made of Glass.”
We currently have an on-going fundraiser set up for the funding of the album, which you can find here. There are perks included for every donation made. The funds raised will mainly go towards studio time. For this album, we’re looking to enter an actual recording studio for tracking drums and maybe vocals as well. Everything else, we’re planning to still do ourselves.
We want everyone to see our process and the progress we make while making this album so we’re providing a production update every here and there.
This is a checklist of where we are and things we have to do:
- Finish scratch tracks (current)
- Enter Studio / Record Drums
- Track Guitars
- Track Bass
- Record Piano
- Record Synth/Keys
- Enter Studio / Record Vocals
We’re currently still debating on demoing out midi drums, tracking everything and than recording real drums last, as apposed to tracking live drums first. The main benefit would be that everything would be tracked pretty tightly. It’ll also give Mike time to get his drum parts down to a point where he’s happy with them. Because, you know… drummers.
We plan on updating this post as we progress of the album. So check back in from time to time, we’ll post another production update shortly.
